As I reflect on 2018, I am overwhelmed by your kindness, encouragement, and generosity.

Thankful for you…absolutely. Grateful for your partnership in this amazing work…more than I can say. But I do want to take the time now to say it. Thank you for the part you play in Knickers for New Life. It is vital!

2018 has seen us grow from three schools to five, from about 1200 students to 1800 students. The most unexpected and exciting part of the work of KFNL this year has been the addition of a new mosquito-repellent soap that has had a dramatic impact on reducing malaria at all our partner schools. Malaria is the number one cause of death in Uganda. Everyone in the area we serve expects to get it, the only question is how often and how bad it will be. There is treatment available but the damage can still be severe if treatment is delayed. Prevention is so much better! Being healthy and in school is exactly where Ugandan children need to be and KFNL plays a role in making that happen with our circle of Health & Hygiene (knickers, sanitary

pads, soap, proper latrines properly maintained, handwash stations, and Health Education.)

The call to Do Something is being answered in practical ways. YOU are part of that when you pray for KFNL, when you purchase ASANTE Scents for a Cause products, when you volunteer in so many ways, when you donate funds, and when you tell others about Knickers and the work we do. One of my favorite African proverbs says, “If you want to walk fast, walk alone. If you want to walk far, walk with others.” I am only beginning to understand what it feels like to walk far and I am absolutely certain that it is only possible with your partnership.

So Thank You for your part in changing the future for girls (and boys) in Uganda ~ one school at a time.
